If you love to ride, you will LOVE Count's Excalibur or "X" as we call him! He is energetic, well-mannered and FUN, FUN, FUN to ride! He has been ridden mile and miles of trails, through all types of terrain! This GEORGEOUS, 14.2h, Black gelding is 14 years young and is in excellent health and amazing body condition!! He has all the stamina and heart to carry you to the ends of the earth and back, if that is where you want to go! "X" is a steady seasoned veteran trail horse and he is about as steady and predictable as any horse can be - He is NOT afraid of anything! He walks with a purpose - he does not have to be held back but you do not have to prod him to go either. He is no "dead-head" and you will never nickname him "pokey Joe", but for someone who truly LOVES to ride - you will absolutely LOVE him! He has an "idiot-proof" gait - barefoot and as fast as you ask him to go! He quite possibly could be one of the smoothest horses you will ever ride! This horse is careful and safe on the trail and navigates easily on steep terrain - up or down hill. He is fearless and will go absolutely ANYWHERE you ask him to go - every time and without hesitation! Any confident rider with basic skills will just have a ball with this guy! He has a easy handle and listens well to voice commands and his brakes are well-installed! He is as terrific on the ground as he is under saddle. He is as smooth as glass, and can really "rack-on" when you want him to - faster and faster and smooth EVERY step of the way - big motor when desired and walks at ease, when asked. He is a top quality TRAIL horse with a super smooth way of going...perfect for a long weekend on the trails - with plenty of energy to carry you the distance! Not your ordinary horse...He is an incredible ride...likes to move out, swiftly and smoothly! He will go alone or with a group...sets up in the bridle and carries himself like a bold champion...very elegant and showy! He is Oh...so striking...a black beauty sure to draw every eye!! He has been trail ridden alone by a lady rider without issue for the better part of the past eight years. We have ridden in alone and in groups and he is happy either way - alone with just his rider or out with lots of others - he is consistently the SAME every single ride - no surprises! He has been trail ridden all of his life and is energetic, athletic and FUN to ride!! He has been thru water, deep in the woods, down the road-side, with dogs, other livestock and thru very rough terrain...always willing and ready to go again...he will carry you anywhere you want to go and I do mean ANYWHERE...and again...he is NOT spooky! Stands still to mount and dismount. He is current on all health care.
