These ladies are amazing!!!!! they are my motivation to keep working in wildland. I work as a RADO for the WNA-BIA out of carson city. I'm hoping once i become a firefighter i can motivate other women to join on with me. =] Keep up the good work female wildland firefighters =]

Having been raised by 11 uncles & 2 strong grandmothers, I learned all their skills - & have taken tons of nonsense about it over my life. It doesn't take much courage to step out of 'everyday' roles. It does take courage to get out of a helicopter & face the fire! I've faced the fire.. dug a hole & covered myself to survive one that jumped a break. I rattle my tongue for these women! It's women's job to take care of our Holy Mother the Earth.
