Funniful man or wonderful man, or even wonderful cow as my dad sang to me.

This is a very very old tune and everyone seems to have different words to it! This was considered a rude song back in the day and kids loved it.

This is an original by Albert Richardson recorded in 1928. I will apologise for the still video though, it was quick and nasty.

The original recording I have of this will probrably be on the antiques road show in a couple of years, you'll have to pry it out of my hands though!

  • My Father would sing this off pat to our relations, and in the pub. Those that couldn't keep up, or faultered, had to contribute to his Malt Whisky fund. That was back in the earlt/mid 1950s.

  • My late uncle Fred sang this to me every year on my birthday when i was a little girl gowing up in England. I LOVE IT! It brings back so many good memories.

I now live in the U.S.A. and have played it to my children and Grandchildren, they also love the song.

  • My dad's party piece for years! Now I and both my children are carrying on the family tradition!

  • I have just won one on Ebay. How much would you offer?

  • My mother is 88 and her fother bought this record for her as a child and mum and dad sang this with us as children. She moved home last week and the removers broke the record, which has fond memories for s as a family. The other side of the record was Buttercup Joe, any chance that you have a copy of this or know where I can get one.

  • My father sang this to myself brother and sister and subsequently to his grandchildren. At his funeral at the age of 88 last week this was played. He would have been up there looking down laughing and crying with us. Thanks dad for all the memories. Pauline,Roger and Sarah.

  • I relate to that. My mother used to sing it to me. She did it brilliantly, too. Yes. Very moving. I sang it to my kids as well. They still love it

  • My father sang this song when I was 5 ( 1955) I never thought I would hear it again. I sat and listened to it with tears in my eyes. It was worth every penny I owned. Thankyou
