@TheConciseStatement I don't agree. Moore's Bond was supposed to the be same as Connery's, as the actors were the same age. So a 58 year old Bond (Moore) in 'AVTAK' in 1985, was consistent with a 35 year old Bond (Connery) in 'Dr No' in 1962. Moore visited his late wife Tracy's grave in 'FYEO' (1981), for example, who was killed in 'OHMSS' (with Lazenby), and the date on her grave is 1969, the same as the film. It wasn't until Dalton took over in 1987 that this continuity was abandoned.
2520, I've given very long answers to this in the past but the short answer is usually no.
Longer answer? In fact the same James Bond actor isn't even the same James Bond (if you know what I mean). It's just an action movie template with the same stock set of characters at the centre, and every once in a while they switch the actors playing them. The one exception is the Daniel Craig era. He's clearly the same James Bond because what happens in Casino Royale directly affects Quantum of Solace.
