The proponents of biodiesel know more than a little bit about the audacity of hope. While the alt-fuel suffered essentially as collateral damage in the whole ethanol flap, its supporters, including Tri-State Biodiesel CEO Brent Baker, never gave up their fight. Now, with a new, more green-friendly administration in place, plus the promise of algae-based production (does this mean that the dream of highways that smell like French fries is officially dead?), and the national tour of Joshua Tickell's comprehensive documentary Fuel, they are back, and taking their campaign for this renewable energy source to the mainstream. We met up with Baker at a private screening, and had a few minutes to get his thoughts on the film and the future of biodiesel.
I just saw this film..
