Follow the Arkansas National Guard as sons, daughters, fathers and mothers receive notice, get inducted, trained and transferred and finally deployed to Iraq. We follow these weekend warriors and observe what happens to their businesses, churches, schools and families. This is the new millennium's real "Band of Brothers".
From actual scenes of full-scale combat to a soldier's funeral, from the birth of a first child to the heartbreaking return home of a critically injured soldier, Off to War tells the story of a war in a way it has never been told before - through the eyes of the soldiers and families back home who endured it.

These were, are and will always be the real minute men of our times. Our country was formed from men like these. At a moments notice, willing to leave their loved once to go to war. These are the John Adams, John Dickinson, Marquis de Lafayette, Patrick Henry of our times. My the Lord always be their shadow. Only them carry in their soul, lives, and heart the brutal price of war. They will never forget.
