these engines are works of art...superb.
-
By the way, I like the sound in. That is half the beauty of these engines!
-
Apropos my previous comment, the steering engine is a small vertical cylinder type with mechanical arrangement like an Alley & Maclellan "Sentinel", but was by a different manufacturer, probably Canadian.
-
Note the Alley & MacLellan "Sentinel" steam steering engine located aft of the main engine, from time 1:44

Thanks for the tour Chief.brought back a lot of memories. My dad was the chief back in the fifties when it was still a working tug.

-
that guy looks like johnny cash

Goes quiet at 4:47, noise probably best not canceled, just a pity the noisy bit wasn't last..?
-
outstanding video:) thank you very much.
What a shame the film crew couldn't borrow or rent a noise-canceling microphone. We can hardly understand a word the engineer is saying. I would love to tour this boat - the engine looks beautiful!

Yeah sorry about that, no film crew, just a 7 meg digital camera with simple 640x480 VGA video to SD card. So no WINDSOCKS or ZEPPLINS on this 1st attempt.
