Climate change has been used as a term to replace global warming so that the legislators can create taxes etc that will be valid no matter what the climate does. They also changed the name because the climate has been cooling for ten years. The deniers you are so angry about dont exist, its a term that the warmists have coined for people who dispute their science. They are people who are not convinced that carbon dioxide = warming

When the two terms entered the public sphere, they were used interchangeably. It is not a term created by the evil "warmists".
