Music video (unofficial) for Sun Kil Moon's (feat. Mark Kozelek) song "Carry Me Ohio" from the album 'Ghosts of the Great Highway' (Jet Set/Caldo Verde Records-November 2003) using images, objects and clips lovingly found on the innerwebs...

(Yes, this is also the song you heard in the film 'Shop Girl' with Steve Martin, Claire Danes, Jason Schwartzman and Mr. Kozelek himself as "Luther".)

  • Nice clip of The Fountainhead, among others.

  • @teeterharris Thank you :)

  • history of pic at 3:40 please

  • @pokkitmonzturr sorry don't know; it's something I just found scouring the web but it's reminiscent of Dinosaur, Jr.'s 'Green Mind' LP cover I thought and it worked for the mood of the song & the video...

  • Some of the images are far too literal or over baked and some perfectly chosen, acoid the old black and white Hollywood footage and stick to the more obscure, arcane stuff. Nonetheless, keep at it.

  • this song is almost if not entirely too good for the world-almost like its realness is wasted on a populace of plasticity-could make ya feel alone if ya let it

  • i agree...most guys i know are self centered.. but whatever works for them i guess. as long as their happy. im just going to dream too

  • @762willstopit I know how you feel, bro. But theyre just humans, after all, as we are. And once one realizes that, it feels kinda depressing.

  • @762willstopit There is truth in what you say, but the same can go for men. I think this is true with much of the worlds population.

  • I wish women were, in general, as deep, thoughtful, philosophical, interesting, three-dimensional...as this song and this video purport. There may be some. I find them in general to be shallow, narrow-minded, self-centered, materialsitic, one-dimensional...the ones I know anyway. Lucky for songs like this, makes me want to keep dreaming.
