I beat this game today and I agree that the final battle stage is the funnest. I was able to beat the game with only 6 lives and only lost 2. What I did was kept shooting as many enemies as possible to achieve an extra life of bar, that's what kept me going lol. Great "Let's play" btw.

The final stage is so hectic and crazy which does make it difficult but also alot of fun.
