In our research we found that Gen Y encompassed a diverse range of attitudes, as in any other generation. It seems that media portrayal has much to answer for with stereotypes being created and then reinforced. Certainly there's a need to ensure that Gen Y-ers are prepared for the workplace, and we found evidence to suggest that our current educational system is not preparing Gen Y well for what they will face when they get to work.
