The classic promotional launch video and then commercial for the first 32bit operating system for PCs by Microsoft (not the first overall though. IBM OS/2 came much earlier for example).

Bill Gates hired the living rock legends "The Rolling Stones" for the music of the launch video, the now stones and Microsoft advertising classic "Start me Up".

  • Microsoft still has it if they stop being a copy to Apple and start being what they truly are: The best computer out there.

  • @AtomicWrangler86 Have some imagination man! Stocks and investments would be a way to become a billionaire. I would have saved every dime I had in high school if I knew that a company called Google was going to go public in only 9 years... or Apple would make such a comeback! Also, having first hand knowledge of technology, and the shape of society as a whole, would allow you to focus your skills for when the time came. Imagine coming up with facebook, 2 years before myspace?

  • 0:43 Everyday person going into restaurant with his PC to play computer games.

  • @nunchaku61184 Really you'd be a billionaire? Are you a computer programmer? Do know anything about about designing and selling an operating system. That's like me going back in time to the 1940s with the idea of the atomic bomb. I have no idea in hell how to make an atom bomb.

  • @konj89 Its funny that the demonstrations of windows 95 in this commercial run as if the computer is infected with a plethora of malware.

  • download link?

  • I love how the "You make a grown man cry" line was cut out.

  • 10 million$ for just the song only!!!!!

WOW must be one hell of a great song!!!!!

  • To note, Windows NT 3.1 was Microsoft's first 32bit OS.

  • I'm surprised that a commercial from the mid 90s had a song from the 80s. I mean, didn't they consider anything 80s to be outdated and uncool?

  • Pity they did not include the bit about You'll make a grown man cry.

  • This ad is fantastic. Thumbs up to Windows :)

  • @CumbrowskiCom Where do you catched this video?

  • Plese dont start my frustration up and make me cry. "If you start me up I'll never stop. You make a grown man cry"

  • Ahh, the classic windows feel... And all the classic head aches that came with it.

  • Sometimes I wish the internet wasn't invented cuz there's to many kids and adults indoors now, when I was a kid I never was inside.

  • Good song... for 12.000.000 $... :)

  • see put a good song on your first commercial and u become a billionairr not badd

  • But can it run Crysis?

  • LMAO even in the commercial the transfer rate for files was slow ...

  • Living this time with today´s knowledge.... i´d be a billionaire within 10 seconds...

  • yeah,
