The classic promotional launch video and then commercial for the first 32bit operating system for PCs by Microsoft (not the first overall though. IBM OS/2 came much earlier for example).

Bill Gates hired the living rock legends "The Rolling Stones" for the music of the launch video, the now stones and Microsoft advertising classic "Start me Up".

    computers were a lot more fun - as well as being the pursuit to upgrade.. Netscape Navigator web browser - Bill gates and the BSOD on launch day, haha - i loved the 90's

    I know that's what a lot of places report but, "Now retired Microsoft chief operating officer Bob Herbold has set the record straight..."

    If you check out Networkworld com community blog what microsoft paid stones help launch window

    Seems like it was around $3m. Which is still a lot of money and in 1995 - massive!

    who would believe that Microsoft would ruin Windows by killing the start menu on Windows 8?

    Windows was bad as it was - not it got worse. Unbelievable.
