DEAR ANYONE AGAINST DRUG LEGALIZATION

Look to Portugal, who in 2001 legalized ALL drugs. Yes, anything. Meth, Heroin, Crack, all legal, with no penalty for use or possession. Do you think this leads to high drug usage? Take a look at the stats- They spend far less money, incarcerate far fewer people, have less overdoses and have less drug related health problems.

This is a real example, its been around for over 10 years now and there are no signs of a policy change, it works, plain and simple

Very true, and I agree with the methodology. But there is a grave risk of glorifying drug use once people break the paradigm and realize that Marijuana is harmless. We do not want to promote recreational use, only Medicinal. "Everything, in Moderation!" - Ben Franklin

Portugal adopted a harm reduction policy. The statistics would seem to show that instead of arresting non-violent drug offenders, if they are provided with access to treatment and other harm reduction measures (like needle exchanges) that things start to get better. The latter is not just in terms of the user, but the cost of the user on society.
