The lighting isn't as bright and I was in a bit of a hurry so apologies for all the drifting out of frame and jerky motions.
So, I played around with this decrease because I thought it would work up beautifully in an off-set pattern. It reminds me of eyelet cables, and I really like the dimensionality and texture. But in working it over and over again, I realized my "preferred" way of doing it wasn't as efficient as something closer to the original described method. So here's an "improved" method:
Knit two together, but instead of drawing the newly made stitch through both the first and second stitch, separate or split the first and second stitch and only bring the new stitch through the first. Then pull this malformed "k2tog" off the left hand needle. This will leave the new stitch and the second stitch sitting on the right hand needle tip. Next knit the third stitch of the set, and pass the second stitch, which is still sitting on the right hand needle tip, over the new stitch, dropping it off the right hand needle tip. = Two from three.
I have never heard of a decrease like this. I have always been at a loss when I wanted a "centered" single decrease. Thanks for this!

YOU ARE AMAZING!! How do you know all this? It looks wonderful. First I have to figure out what 'bunny ears' are, then how to split the stich. But I think this'll help me figure out Ashley Paige's Blue Suede Bikini pattern. Thanks TONS!
