Man, i real feel for any1 that comes to uni in Winchester. It wasnt to bad when i was younger, but as soon as you hit 18 you just need to be somewhere else really.

@28viva The student village. It's very communal once you're in. There are other campuses dotted about the city, which in my day were semi-affiliated with Southampton Uni.
Winchester is a great (but expensive) place to live. Being slap-bang in the middle of the South, it is a good hub in terms of travel to Sussex, the South West and of course, London.

Another low level institution calling itself a university ( LOL ). Close it and make the funding available to more worthwhile centres of higher education.
