If bardock were to go ssj he would have to be at the total verge of death all his friends dead. and they didnt have senzu beans when bardock was around. but yes if that did happen he would most like be like a Kaioken times 99999 he would easily pwn frieza but..... i that did happen it would totally ruin the whole series of dbz because then goku wouldnt be able to go ssj and he most likely would be i dunno..... DESTROYED BY THE EXPLOSION!

Actually, Bardock was easily able to swat aside Frieza's elites, making him around Vegeta's level on Namek. That power plus what he would get from the zenkai would put him very close to SSJ level.

@darklordixor he also said he was a scientist he didn't seem like a scientist in the special,and thats not said in any other version other than the ocean one,not to mention in the tenkaichi series some saiyans can make a poer ball but bardock can't,he needs a full moon in the map to transform,why is that?he doesn't know it,simple.
