What's the use of sending food and water over there if it won't change the way they live? What they need is education and the tools for education. Education opens the door for more opportunities for Africans to live better lives and make sound decisions.

  • Bill gates showed rather send Food and construction supplies rather then stupid electronic games. People there have no access to water, food nor energy..

He should rethink what he is doing.

  • often right here in the good old US of A schools are so badly underfunded that they have to struggle for basic supplies like pencils, books, and paper, and important classes like sports, music, and art are being cut, Often schools cannot even afford the most rudimentary of computers.

  • Nice one...well done man

  • i know bill gates has done a lot of charities and i don't think that he's like all the other billionaires he's much more sensitive about some really important matters and only the ten percent of his fortune will go to his children and the rest of the money to charities.

  • Correct. Though it would be better if he spent what he did have on actually solving problems rather than housing people on his team.

  • because he doesn't actually have 100 billion in the bank. Most of his money is on paper in stocks not actually tangible currency.

  • good works bill...thanks....

  • Do these billionaires really think that they are making this world a better place? How do we know if the 100 billion he has in the bank is not the reason why there is half the world's starvation and poverty.
