This rendition should have been a significant hit for the Four Seasons, but may have been too much in a "doo wop" vein during a period when young people were looking to create a new sound. Still a great play.

Sir Basil...you already know I think you're the best! I never heard this version of the song prior to "discovering" it today. That being said, I remain a Jesse Belvin/Fleetwoods guy. Beyond that, I love the Four Seasons and consider myself a "Jersey Boy" having graduated from high school there although I have not resided there for decades..."Keep On Keepin On" Sir...

@tunesmith09 Thank you. I was a big, big Four Seasons fan in my teenage days. This is a great version, given that classic Four Seaons call-and-answer treatment.

The A-side was Stay. My girlfriend Caridad and I wore out this side in the juke box at the Monroe Sandwich Shop on Duval Street on Key West in 1964. Great tune.

This is STILL my favorite version of this song.-- after all these years. It was the flip of something else on the local drive-in's jukebox and I used to play it all the time on my lunch hour during Jr high school. I only know this as a "B" isde--not from an lp. I love Frankie's voice on this. It kicks!
