Some beautiful short film-making by Seamus Murphy but without PJ Harvey's soaring musical tracks, they would not be nearly as urgent or as potent. What a powerful combination of the visual and of sound....chicken or the egg?

Something magical about the singing. About the topic. About the naked simplicity of it all. It pierces through the many layers of my cynicism, goes straight to my goddam heart. Were I a thick frame glasses hipster asshole, I'd call you Polly Jean (just to show the world I can google a wikipedia article too). But I'm not. I still love you to death, PJ Harvey.

if not for the web, we don't get music like this in america--a steady stream of serenading android pleasure bots and tough guys, even our country western music has adopted ghetto tendencies--all in all, i am liking pjharvey and kudos on the recent award win.
