He has a descent rate of 2.5. That means for every 1,000 feet he falls he moves forward 2,500 ft. He is unable to gain altitude, and has to land using a parachute. The speeds of his descents would kill him.

Isn't the 1 : 2,5 ratio only for wingsuits? I guess this "Rocket suit" can hit a bit more.

actually the 2.5 glide ratio is for the wingsuits which are not using the jet engine.... this wingpack is able to provide temporarily horizontal flight even an ascent
