Thauban states that the Messenger said "The nations (of peoples) will soon summon one another to attack you as people when eating invite others to share their dish." A man asked, "would that be because of our small number at that time?" He (the Prophet) said, "No, you will be numerous at that time; but you will be scum like that carried down by a torrent, and Allah will surely take away fear of you from the hearts of your enemy, and will surely cast the wahan in your hearts." A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah, and what is wahan?" He (the Prophet) said, "Love of the world and hate of death!" Abu Dawood #4297.
