This is my first HD animation, and although you wont see it in HD here, it is 1080p in its original form. This is a recreation of Sky News's On-Screen Identity back from 1998 (updated to make use of the extra details of HD) originally design by Pittard Sullivan

I would put Sky News HD on Astra 2 south beam free-to-air clear MPEG4 all over Europe.

@AnthonyUK EU should do something with broadcasting rights. That's why BBC is FTA but available only in UK, or why French, Spanish, Polish, Dutch and other european countries tv stations are encrypted. We've got free market. Why I can't use Skybox in e.g. France? That's not fair.

well, actually HD was around in 1998 as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno started shooting in HD then...

If I was in charge of Sky News and it went HD, it would be free-to-air unencrypted format all over Europe(no card/no subscription required!)
