Dreamkiller, the 2009 Carolina Music Awards Rock Band of The Year, is a concept band that fuses rock and the idea of a rock musical and targets this towards a commercial audience. Founded in 2004 by professional actress/singer/model, Christy Johnson, [2009 CMA Rock Artist of The Year: Female] who has been featured in such films as Tobe Hoopers Mortuary, National Lampoons Pucked, Gospel Hill, and has performed at Carnegie Hall as well as two international tours to Europe, Dreamkiller prides themselves on colorful lyrics that include positive themes of strength, perseverance, conquering your fears head-on, as well as pushing with no limits to accomplish your goals.

In early 2008, Christy collaborated with Mark Perry, [most recognized as Chris Daughtrys former guitarist from "Absent Element"] and their single, "Ragnarok", was chosen as the theme song for the award winning controversial documentary, SUPERPOWER, which signed an international distribution deal. After having numerous members throughout the years, the lineup was finally rounded out in 2009 with David Lanning, Erny Galvan and Guatemalan native, Tian Garcia. Now having played the 2009 Vans Warped Tour, winning Rock Band of The Year at the 2009 Carolina Music Awards, releasing theyre full length concept album "Sleepless Dreams" in August 2009 [for which their track, "All or Nothing" has been chosen to be featured in upcoming films and soundtracks for "Rotkäppchen: Blood of Red Riding Hood" and "Hellphone"], they're quickly defining themselves as a southeast regional forerunner.

I freaking love this band...Christy is an amazing frontperson (not frontwoman, but person...she can give alot of those frontmen out there a run for their money!!!) and the guys bring a tight musicianship to tie everything together....great musicians, great vocals, great stage presence, great music, great songs......and they are all really greta people too.....I wish them all the best!!!!
