There can be no justification or excuse for police excess and overzealous approach to law enforcement, which can be just as bad as no law enforcement at all in that both jeopardizes the security and safety of the public.

Dispensing punishment is the court's job once guilt has been proven and the suspect is convicted.

A system of due process is in place for a good reason.

Cops are paid to do their job, which is to maintan order and security, leaving behind their personal feelings like hatred or vengeance. When the criminal lied on the ground, security was already achieved, so the kick and the blows to the kidneys were not acceptable for a cop and as such should not be tolerated.

That criminal showed the world that he was willing to get away if it meant YOUR life. He took the cops on a major high speed chase, driving on the wrong side of the street, running through intersections & stop signs. Yours or your childs life could have at any time come to an abrupt end because that scumbag had zero regard to human life & personal property. The police officers should not have went anywhere near the dirtbag unless they immoblized him first. I think a good kick in the head did it.

@RedTailedTuna a cops job is to serve and protect. if a suspect surrenders that is the end of it. a cop is not allowed to harm a suspect unless he under attack himself.
