Thanks, this helped a lot. My sister got diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes yesterday. She is only is 4th grade, and 9 years old. She is in the hospital waiting for her blood sugar level to stabilize so she can go home. I want to help her as much as I can. <3

hey, im 14 and got diagnosed about a 3 weeks ago, does this stop you from doing everyday things in life and how much would it affect you in later life?
iiModZilla 6 months ago
@iiModZilla it only stops you if you allow it too! if you take good care of yourself, eat right and exercise well, then the affects should be pretty minimal i hope :)

Hi, been type 1 for 30 years now & have always wanted an insulin pump but the NHS wont give me one! haha After 30 years ive now signed up to a research program on type 1 diabetes at Ninewells hospital in Dundee & have just discovered that i have never had the anti body test which distinguishes type 1 from a type 2! Very little chance i will be type 2 but if it turn out i am...i might sue the NHS for misdiagnosing me all them years ago! haha
