  • This was way back when animation was coveted, now all of the cartoons on television are meaningless and the plotlines are full of random ideas! They should bring the good stuff back to TV!

  • @HaggisMcCrablice i miss the good ol' racist cartoons

  • I understand a lot of the references. I think ive been reincarnated lol

  • @wolfshifter13 i agree with the majority but some good production has come out in the past couple so years, visually at least

  • i think they should add this in the national film registry

  • lol at 3:15 with Powell and the Thin Man reference. Also the play on the title with Gable. Though they are far from political correctness, these old cartoons just had something I miss so so much. I don't know if we'll ever be able to find it again. But at least, we have these as memories. Thanks for posting.

  • @TheTrit0n Not surprisingly, a huge chunk of this would just fly over our heads. At least it did for me. I remember Clark Gable being in other cartoons of the era. Somehow, he's pretty recognizable.

  • @drockman92 the other icons is swing orchaestra leader Cab Calloway, Greta Garbo, and Tap Dancing Great, Mr. Bojangles.

  • @MsPandaRosa The Looney Tunes do air on tv (if you get Cartoon Network), and have been since March. Though CN only air the shorts with major characters like Bugs and Daffy (you won't see a lot of one shot shorts like these being aired). Although this is a huge step forward, I only hope that we can soon get boomerang to air the rest of the looney tunes library that includes the one shots and b&w 30s shorts, while CN keeps airing the cartoons with the major characters.

  • @W3551D3 yep.

  • Good they made this uncut. But this film needs to be restored with its original 1938 titles.
