Windows or Mac fanboys, FIRST THINGS FIRST, there cannot be a meaningful debate about "Mac vs Windows" without considering a few things...

Mac refers to a range of computers, devices, and software that are all Apple proprietary technology or licensed technology such as Intel that has been integrated into Mac computers designed by Apple. This means that the Apple OSX operating system (what most people are referring to when they compare "Macs" to Windows) only runs on Apple computers (unless you are clever). Windows on the other-hand is sold by Microsoft to the multitude of 3rd party computer companies such as Dell, Sony, HP, etc. Thus, simply saying that Windows is better than Mac, or Mac is better than Windows doesn't mean anything and neither do your comments. The least you could do is mention the specific Mac/OSX version vs PC/Windows version you are talking about. But nobody will ever do this, because that would require you to actually take the time to make a logical argument, of which the facts can be verified.

This video is not an attempt to highlight things that a mac can do that Windows cannot. Notice how it doesn't say anything about Windows not being able to do these things in the title. I know there's a segment in the video where I poke fun of Windows by saying that the free solitaire game is all they are good for. This is a joke, mainly to demonstrate that you can run Windows on a Mac. Sorry to those of you who took that bit literally; I realize you can do more than just play solitaire on a Windows PC (who doesn't love that solitaire is free on every version of Windows?). So, while I enjoy my Mac, I use the desktop computer I built recently just as much. This is because Windows and Mac are becoming more and more similar. Windows 7 64bit is very nice.

My build: (http://www.onesci.com/BM/computer)

This video is merely to inform other mac owners of some features they might not be taking advantage of. There is a price vs. reliability issue, we get it. Macs are expensive and there are some software developers that do not make games or other utilities for macs. However, because there are so many programmers out there developing for Windows, there is an increase risk that one of these people familiar with the inner workings of the Microsoft architecture will be able to code viruses and other malware.

As for the price issue, I often hear, why would you buy a mac that is not as fast as a less expensive PC. Why would someone pay more for a 3.0L 228 HP BMW C300 than a 3.5L 250 HP Dodge Charger? A new Charger is obviously faster than a new C300. But, like most things, there are a multitude of factors that weight in. Reliability, warranty, life expectancy, aesthetics, ease of use, ease of getting maintenance.

Finally, this video is getting outdated. It's already over a year old, before the big dual monitor boom. I realize that everyone has an LCD attached to their laptop now. Glad I could help lol

  • Can you show us some DX 11 games on OS X?

  • @HABRADASHR

Does Microsoft make DX11 for OSX?

  • @phoenixmonakhos

I have no idea, but surely apple must support it since its so important when you play games and all,or do they have something similar?

  • @HABRADASHR

I don't think OSX supports DX11. But I never play games on my mac, I play games on the PC I built about 6 months ago. You should check it out:

  • @phoenixmonakhos

If you would be able to run OS X on a "normal PC"(you just install it like you install XP etc.),would you still buy a MAC?

  • @HABRADASHR

No, I probably won't be buying another mac any time soon anyway. They are way too expensive. Which is unfortunate because I think they do laptops better than anyone. But if you are going to get a desktop, it would be fuckin crazy to not buy a PC.

You just said, "I've known for years that Macs can't do anything that PCs can't also do."

For instance, Macs can't make Belgium waffles, and PCs can't also make them.

    Haha, idiot!

  • @slyspy70 Mac can "turn into" a Pc ??? You mean Emulate? Yehh,, they have Mac emulators for Windows too... It doesn't mean i can turn my Pc into a <MAc ! Likewise with macs,,,, Lolss you funnny

  • @HigherrConsciousness 80%? Fuck no! Like 20% maybe... Not to mention a Mac can turn INTO A PC Retard

  • A Pc Can Do Anything a Mac Can Do,, + Soo Much More,, not To Mention 80% of programs And Software is NOT compatible With a MAC,, + The Fact That You Can Get A PC With The Same specs As A Mac For $1000 Less..... MAcss Are LAMMEEe

  • @IvanVentura01 what ever I posted was so long ago, and going by the recent comments what ever it was I take it back leave me out of it! lol they're just laptops at the end of the day, I prefer to use ubuntu and fedora, but I have an alienware pc so I also run windows 7, to me macbooks are really awesome with great battery life and performance but just fucking unbearable os, i'd have a mac if it was running ubuntu or fedora

  • @chrizbie what do u have a mac or pc ?

  • You dont have to make a video about what to do with PC to prove something so macs still suck

  • @HABRADASHR just run windows on your mac, and then download DX11 :] and if i was gonna get a mac, id get a 2009 macbook pro. cheaper, and they still are above average for 2011.

  • @phoenixmonakhos
