I always thought this song was produced by Jam, Lewis, and Leon, but none of them produced this song, however Leon played the bass and additional keyboards on this song. Ricky Smith (a collague of Leon Sylvers who produced and played for The Sylvers, The Whispers, Carrie Lucas and Shalamar) produced "Save The Overtime" The only song that had production credits by Jam and Lewis with Leon is "Can You Treat Me Like She Does" by Real to Reel (1983).
