  • Im just saying what I know from experience.. friends STI went through a trans as well as other friends wrx.. and I never have

  • Actually the STi trans is damn near bullet proof. It's the wrx trans that is weak as glass.

  • Lol, I saw this guy shift once during the video! I must be blind or something! teach me the ways to drive in autocross! LOL that was a cool vid btw.

  • how bad is that for ur car anyway?

  • i was just being a bitch cause the guy above me was lol.. im the same way

4 cylinder love but v8s kill all

  • haha, I hate people hating on cars that they do not own, every car has it's advantages over the other so get over it, your car is not the best at every damn thing. I don't think any car sucks IMO. I own a 04 Sti and love it to death but I also love muscle cars, and hybrids because they save the earth lol. And I like the Evo too but not the evos that the haters drive of course.

  • them i guess he didnt want to win either.. had an evo for 2 years now no tranny probs.. STIS SUCK

  • Non of my other post are showing up dammit!

  • Ok there u go again. talking to much and i already see u have no general knowledge about either cars, all you are going on is what VIDs on youtube say. I admit the evo is a BETTER STREET CAR taking corners with little over steer is great, the car handled like no other. but the STi is a well built car. with a lil bit of aggressive counter steering u can get it to do w.e u want. But how ever u wouldnt know that since u are still in the market.

  • As for your clutch "issue," I don't think it's fair to say you've "gone through" 3 clutches. Seeing as your 2nd one was installed wrong, you can't blame this on the Evo itself. You also didn't keep the car throughout the third clutch to see it go out as well (judging by your post) so you really shouldn't hold that against the car as well.

Should YOU do your homework, you would know that the pre 06 Subaru STi/WRX trannies have frequently proven weak/faulty. This was an issue fixed after 2006.
