In this video i will show you how to change the hard drive in a PS3. This operation is very simple, all you need is a cross headed screwdriver and a new hard drive.

  • okay if u have a ps3 hard drive that has the 3.55 ofw could u swap it and the ps3 would change to 3.72 to 3.55?

  • @superawesomefunfilms anything, 5400rpm are known for being cooler but 7200rpm are faster but will still work

  • umm help i did that and when i put the hardrive in it that my new hardrive isn't updated to 3.70. how do ur hardrive?

  • @funnyclown1234 you need to follow the steps in this video then when you first power up your ps3 you will have to format it. Once its formatted you will have your ps3 working. Then, assuming that you backed up your data you can copy it back over. If your hard drive isnt working then you need to format it to FAT32.
