no disrespect to the master Jojo Mayer, but i think the best pedal on the market today is the Tama Speed Cobra, it combines speed and power, it also have a long board and it has a grip that wont damage your bass drum rim... i think is one of the best choice out there

I'm imagining that playing this pedal would feel like it's broken or something if there is no resistance. I would like to try it though. Sounds like you could come up to tremendous speeds and accuracy this way. Although I think it would feel powerless, even if it isn't.
