RAMON TE WAKE

Ramon is a singer songwriter who has been writing songs since she was 18. She played her first gig ever at Blue Note in Wellington in the late 1990's. When she made her way to Auckland Ramon discovered the Temple on Queen Street in 1999. Ramon performed at the venue solidly to small and large audiences, making her unique impression on Auckland's live music scene.

Along with many one off live gigs in the late 90's and early 2000's Ramon also held a residency at Supper Club, in Beresford square.

Ramon independently self funded the recording of a 7 track EP called "The Arrival" which was released in 2002. A soulful album with a collection of tracks that vary from country to pop. The first track on the album was called "To The Core" which gained funding for a music video, that was directed by Makerita Urale.

Although Ramon has many strings to her bow including writing, directing and presenting, musically she has more recently been working on the production of her album "Movement Is Essential".

"Still Remains" is one luxurious track on the album that combines cohesive ballardry with a pulsing trip-hop baseline. The soft beginning builds to climax and the song continues on a journey of love over 24 hours.

Worthy of visual representation Ramon decided to self fund a second video to accompany the track. The video is now finished and ready for release.
