Sequent Software Platform: Mobile NFC Demonstration

Sequent splits the conventional definition of Trusted Service Management (TSM) into two discrete roles, Credential Management and Secure Element Management. Sequent handles Secure Element Management and leaves credential management to existing, well-established service providers. Credential managers are assured of access to Sequent-managed secure elements, while extending their core services. Sequent's neutral Secure Element Manager product ensures the optimal NFC deployment of all credentials in all mobile devices, regardless of the credential manager.

Sequent Secure Element Management (SEM) is a platform-as-a-service solution that includes on-device and back-end software, enabling our issuing clients to manage the lifecycle of their credentials in the mobile device's secure element. Sequent's SEM solution works with all secure element form factors (embedded, UICC SIM, USIM, or retrofit case).

Sequent's SEM solution provides downloadable personalization to the secure element directly from the credential issuer, or from their credential manager. Sequent's SEM is never exposed to consumer personally identifiable information. Sequent's MNO clients can use our SEM solution and continue to purchase SIMs from their existing suppliers.
