  • thats the idea is to chew up the ice,, if you had thrown on three railers or even put on a set of singles on the rear drives you may have done better

  • @mike198748 No, you do not want to chew up the ice. The roads are only there for a short time. there is an amazing amount that needs to be moved on them. The longer they last, the better. They can only pump so much water onto the ice to thicken the road before it becomes a waste of time.

  • Why is that ol boy not running with double rail chains?? Only time single rail chains have done me any good is when they are on drag or steer .

Last time I ran single rails the tires with the chains on them dug through the snow and the tires without chains just floated on the ice. no good

  • Man, you done good with sorry set of singles, cable no less! If you drive in that shit much hit your tightwad boss up for a FULL set V-Bar three rail chain!

  • @mike198748 Oh, so something COMPLETELY different...

  • @seansuth its a figure of speech,,, ice roads i speak of are the logging roads i run on

  • @mike198748 And what ice road do you drive on? Cuz I want to stay away from that logic

  • @scrapingthebarrel, well lucky u, and ure canadian right? hughs canadian 2

  • @1991Timmo Let me tell you about your "legend". They were on our roads this year and they were a bunch of goons. Hugh lost all 4 tires on one side of his tractor as I understand it, and that was on a single trip. I lost 2 all season. One was torn out when some prick totalled my truck and trailer on the Eastern Access and the other blew out on the gravel road heading for Shammattawa and we changed that one on the roadside.

  • @TheVaginaKiller rick yemm aint worth a shit

  • @scrapingthebarrel yeah but this guy is not on the lake he is on land

  • @mike198748 ......that's right....the jewelry should have been on the rear axle in that situation. plus, they're way easier to put on the rear.and as far as rick or hugh goes, those two couldn't drive a stick up a dead dog's ass.....i'm just sayin'!

  • hi im thinking of becoming an ice road trucker. yes i understand the risks and the dangers. but what im mostly concerned about is the benefits. is there good retirement??? what about dental and all that stuff??? i know that regular truck drivers have all the benefits, but i was told that ice road truckers dont have them.

  • @mike198748 these ice roads are on frozen water in case you didnt realise
