By common sense, that would be the case. However, fashion industry isn't a normal occupation field - no one cares if Demelza is nasty, vile, bad mouthing and Godzilla's niece, as long as she is professional and fulfills whatever role the client wants to cast her for.

These are obviously superstars, but look how much damage being nasty did to Naomi Campbell? Not much at all. How much did getting caught with cocaine damage Kate Moss's career? It didn't - on the contrary!

to be fair, she was led into the question. they asked her "who do you think is the bitchiest?" and then "who do you think is the fattest?" so she just put the two together in her answer. she's a little gullible, like when she ate the donuts on the runway, it's quite funny.

anyway she wasn't strictly inaccurate in what she said about Demelza, so... :)

Being a role model is as essential in this industry as having a toe wart. I'm sorry, but if Alice had acted last year like Demelza did this year, she's still be a supermodel because she's tall and gorgeous (debatable, I think she's stunning).

Frankly, fashion industry is about outer beauty, not inner beauty.

Also, Demelza doesn't represent Australia - she represents whatever she's been signed to parade around. It's only later when the national magazines go "oooh Australian there!"
