John Jorgenson Quintet plays the Django Reinhardt classic Swing from Paris at the 2009 Ossipee Valley Bluegrass Festival in Cornish, Maine. A great swing blues. Listen carefully and you might catch John quoting Limerock in there. A lot of bluegrass guitarists and fiddlers were influenced by Reinhardt and Grappelli's music, so it's great to see it finally getting some recognition at bluegrass festivals.

John Jorgenson - guitar
Jason Anick - violin
Kevin Nolan - rhythm guitar
Simon Planting - bass
Rick Reed - percussion

  • This Festival was my first In Maine. I had the best easy going time. This band played just before the Steel Drivers. John is one awesome musician.

To me this was tough to sell as Bluegrass...pretty jazzy...but enjoyable. When the Steel Drivers came out just after...what a contrast...they blew the roof off the place!
