We see a lot of potential with this new die cut machine, the eCraft by Craftwell. A statement was made in the video that it's the only machine that can cut through Tim Holtz's Grunge Paper. We asked the people at Ranger about this and they said any die cut machine can cut through grunge paper. I haven't had a chance yet to talk again with Craftwell about this (perhaps they meant Grunge Board???) but I wanted to share Ranger's response here. Regardless, we think this is an amazing cutting system to consider if you're looking for one.

  • can we all say paper jam? and what about scraps?

  • great machine!! U can us scraps of of paper to there advise is to not use paper smaller than 5 by 7.5 cm and you can use it without cartridges. Whit the software pro you can design youre one cuts and you can get svg from the net. I can`t wait till i get it

  • @shinglergirl Great point! I frequently use little scraps of paper on my Cricut, just adjusting paper size to what I have on hand. That's a real plus for the Cricut.

  • Who pays $3 a sheet for paper? Still, this new machine is intriguing. I like the thought of no mats. But will it work with third-party software solutions like the Cricut does? I don't want to be tied down to buying cartridges ever again.

  • ok the guy is mistaken on the grunge paper but what a fab machine i can forgive him for it i have lots of die cutters the slice, cricut expresstion big shot n bs pro ect but i need this one will it hit the UK soon i hope so i love the sleek design and the fact that you can design your own stuff plus that you dont need a computer to use it and gr8 not having no more cutting mats they are a pain in the wossit I NEED THIS MACHINE lol xxx

  • Am I missing them talking about the sizes of paper you can use?? So you're not able to use scraps of paper as you are on the cricut??

  • @TerriMouw

    Very good point.

  • how can he say that's the only cutter in the industry that is able to cut grunge paper? Even the wishblades and craftrobo's can cut grunge paper.

Surely he knows the difference between grunge paper and grunge board, as he was holding grunge paper when he said that. Grunge board is not available in 12x12, and that was 12x12 he held up...

  • number 1 on my wish list!

  • I just purchased a cricut, I wish I would have known about this machine I would have waited.. maybe I can sell my cricut when this one comes out...
