Yes, Hell is a real place. It's a garbage dump outside of Jerusalem. Sound too strange to be true? That's actually where the early Christians got the idea. The Bible itself offers clues.

  • A real hell is that is believed to exist by most Christians is based on the bible's scriptures, and not only that, but also on Jesus' own words. Jesus described hell as a place where "Their worm would not die, and the fire is not quenched." Also, hell has a one-way ticket, meaning that once you're there, there's no getting out. If God has preserved hell for the devil and his angels, I'm sure it couldn't be the earthly hell you're talking about, because eternal damnation is just that.

  • @songwriter4artists When I said "Hell is a garbage dump outside Jerusalem", I'm saying the inspiration for the place comes from a real place. They got their ideas from Gehenna and created this imaginary place based upon it.

  • @ttone2379 I'm so sorry to hear that. I know exactly what you mean. I'm actually in a hard place right now working out my faith over some things. I don't typically use the word "Christian" I prefer disciple...but the only failure is quitting. Don't give up my friend.

Find your faith again it's mmore valuable than anything you can acquire.

Having faith does not mean life will be easy or you'll get all you want. Paul's life I would say went from plush to harsh as soon as he believed.

  • @PumaSweat i could quite well be misunderstanding or i maybe looking to hard but i have had ample time to develop my view of the scriptures. i reckon the pride of life hinders my attempts to understand completely. its not at all that i dont want to believe but i want the evidence to compel me. in the past i felt it had. my faith seemed to vanish. and when i began to retrospectively view my life as a christian it was nothing but failure.

  • @ttone2379 I had to look back at my old comment been like a year. My friend not sure what youre saying, but if that's what you know of Jesus you should get some help studying the scripture. I'm sorry if youve had many bad expiences at local Churches or have witness so many in the world who claim to love in Jesus' name but act like everyone else. I'd love to help if I could. I had to overcome skepticism in my life too.

Best to you and your endeavors. Hope you find him soon.

  • @ttone2379 careful with your comment, the bibles old testament predates greeks mythology. Also God devised a hell for them for rebelling against him.

  • @PumaSweat but according to christians we (all humans) are all scum. dead in trespasses in sins, separated from god, our righteouness is as filthy rags (paul). jesus was a glutton and a drunkard a friend of tax collectors and sinners. how does a person to get a heart to seek god? is this your own theology. people sought jesus yet he would run to the next town to get away how do i know hes not running from me when i seek him now? maybe we shouldn't quarrel but we should definately debate.

  • @Drummerrocket but the problem with your comment is that people have argued over what he said for centuries and if it was even him saying it....atleast, how can we verify that? if you read the gospels through one after the other you get different variations of jesus and it seems conflicting. when you get o the pauline letters you begin to see a brand new teaching and paul gives more input on the idea of salvation than jesus ever did in the gospels. a servant is not greater than his master?

  • @songwriter4artists its most likely that the jews plagirized hell from the greeks who had a belief in hades. instead of hades as the landlord they use satan. why would god devise a hell for the devil and his angels? why not just destroy them? cmon. and then even though it wasnt intended for us because we are "eternal" we inadvertently will find ourselves there if we dont believe in a historical mystery. has anyone thought this through?

  • What happened to the website? I last visited it about a year or so ago, and now it's gone....

  • Jesus rode a dinosaur :o
