Hearts v Ross County in a quarter final tie from the 98/99 League Cup. We take the lead just before half time through Roy McBain. FT 1-1 AET then we get beat 3 nil on penalties.

We had beaten Dundee Utd 2 nil at home in the 3rd round.

One of my best mates Steve Ferguson (a fellow Jambo) was playing for County n this game and got us tickets in the Ross County end for this match. Have to admit Hearts were lucky to get through and the Ross County end was bouncing.

This result was a travesty. I cried myself to sleep for a week after watching the highlights on Scotsport......Ha Ha.

Whatever happened to franck escalon? the last time i saw him was in August 1999 when he scored against Dundee united midweek in a league cup tie we lost 2 - 1.
