I bought the plans and some parts and built it and Universal Hovercraft did some major work at the end of the project. I suspect its cheaper to build yourself but it will take a long time. If I were to do it again, I would have UH build the entire thing.- BT

how to make bags? Can you explain me how to make skirt? Why it doesn`t go down in water when engine is take off?

@mrripply1111111111 I would suggest you contact Universal Hovercraft on the internet. They have all types of plans and instructions for building hovercraft. Start with something much smaller and simplier. This craft took 1200 hours of construction. To answer your question, it dosent sink when the engine is not running because the body is made of foam which is covered in marine plywood and fiberglass. It floats......

@billtodd50 1200 hours! Are you saying it would take 30 weeks full-time to build such a simple vehicle? I could build a plane from scratch in less time...
