Lyrics (translation in English)
(Pota, in Bergamasque, what would you I tell, you can not, tomorrow morning we go to work)
It's five o'clock in the morning and I did not want to get up
And my mother yells at me, jumps out, lazy boy
My partner downstair the pan with lunch under the arm
And the team goes on the road that leads to Milan
The hammer and trowel were better to go to school
I do the job of the builder, I take money as a doctor
My team is known, all of Milan knows them
We are not afraid to work and we make a house in three days
Because we from Bergamo, upper and lowest, call the fork "Piroo"
Because we fron Bergamo, upper and lower, like food and drink but we are not lazy.
It is down and down and up and up, and down and down (what? The ladle)
It is down and down and up and up, and he's down (what? the string)
(Delbo, with the winch lifts the lime and cement, then we do this piece of wall! But stop saying nonsense!)
My name is Tone, Tone of Canterbury
I have two shoulders of a blacksmith and a strength of a lion
But I found a girlfriend who screams when I touch her
And when I jump on him slapped get ant I jump the ditch
But what can I say? But what should I do? I go crazy, I always pay!
Because we from Bergamo, upper and lowest, when we are playing cards we have the ace of clubs
Because we from Bergamo, upper and lower, like food and drink but we are not lazy.
It is down and down and up and up, and down and down (it's a little that... with the binoculars)
It is down and down and up and up, and he's down (what? The winch)
At five o'clock in the evening I finish work
At eight o' clock I am pretty cool, I am shaved and perfumed
It brings out the Mercedes, I'm sorry with the phone, give a polish, preparing the portfolio
And tonight I will touch the girlfriend and she screams, I do not take more slap from her and I jump on the arrival.
Because we from Bergamo, upper and lowest, call the fork "Piroo"
Because we fron Bergamo, upper and lower, like food and drink but we are not lazy.
It is down and down and up and up, and down and down (what? The hammer)
It is down and down and up and up, and he's down (what? the nail)
(Oh, I don't want to talk. You know when one person wants to talk or not to want to talk, because if not he open good your mouth. Huh? Do you see that I can not open my mouth? No! Because if I want to talk I start to open my mouth well when I talk to the people. You want to talk though? Not so much.)
(Hey, Tone, I won the ticket and I do not get to work! But stop saying nonsense!)
(Tone tomorrow I'm getting married! But stop saying nonsense!)
(Tone, you have put on a fine! But stop saying nonsense!)
(Tone, but it should get it!)
It is down and down and up and up, and down and down
It is down and down and up and up, and he's down
Uooooh

Grazie a "buonvecchioarchivio".
