http://www.acrolitesnaredrum.com - Hello Ludwig Acrolite Snare Drum Fans, this is not a playing/tuning video, but a quick look at the Ludwig No-404 Snare Drum. We go into a brief history of the Acrolite in this video because we have catalog pages starting in the early 1960's showing the Acrolite and how it changed over the years. We also have hardware reference pages from Ludwig, a badge time-line and other Ludwig Acrolite History. Please stop by the web site to learn more.

The Acrolite drum features Ludwig's ACOUSTI-PERFECT shell design, the famous one piece "beaded" metal shell, 8 self-aligning tension casings and triple-flanged hoops.

  • I have a 1969 model the funny thing is the vent hole is higher where the 70's hole is, but it has the keystone badge, it also has the 70's muffler.

  • @blubu68 Actually, that was a transition badge time. It could have very likely been drilled for the new badge placement and then someone found some Keystones that they needed to use up. Thanks for watching!
