nick didnt murder anybody. i actually read the book. but it became every man for himself at some point. its no coincidence that the guy who had something to hold onto (the motor) is the lone survivor. no way in hell he was giving up that spot. when the other guy became belligerent, nick had to say fuck this if i dont try and save myself this guy is gonna take us both out. your instinct at some point in a hellish situation like that is to save yourself. most people would never admit it and nick
