The haters will really hate me now,... I reshot this video and took out the audio mistake I had made,...
What will the haters do now,...?
Who cares,... this is for fun,... Have fun with it,... a great opening bar trick,...

Remember,
the answer IS 4 and WILL equal 4 when you are done,...
So, (hint,...) you don't do anything with or to the last 6 matches,...

This is not a "DOES NOT" equal 4 finish,...
Explanation,... a bunch of math geeks, mad cause they could figure out the trick, are trying to lobby that you can make the "=" sign into a "does not equal" and still make the 4 correct,... (or not correct in their minds)
These over thinkers love to take the fun out of simple shit,... when I meet poeple like these out in bars,... I just go the other way,... they don't want to have fun,... they want to try to "outthink" the world so they can go home to there geek bedrooms (atMoms house probably) and while they lay asleep in their "Speed Racer" Bed Spreads, they can think to themselves,...
"I outsmarted someone today,..."

BFD (that's Big Fucking Deal)
Geek Squad,...!!!

Your wrong anyway,...

Answer is 4,...

  • If no one reads the description under your video, the wording of what you're saying in your video does leave room for someone to make the equal sign into a does not equal sign. You are saying "the correct answer is 4" instead of saying "the correct answer is = 4". When you do tricks like this, people will assume it is something where you have to over think, or "think outside the box" would be a better term for it. If you word this at a bar, make sure you clearly say =4 is the right answer.

  • @Torn80cj

    nice observation,...!

    Point taken my friend,...!

    you are correct,...!

  • @Torn80cj

I forgot,... when I do this in person,. I doo say to people,... "only move the toothpicks (or matches) in front of the = sign, so in a sense, I have said it that way, just didn't think of it while doing this vid,.... it's hard to think of every thing man,...!!!!!!!!!!!!

    peace,....

  • another way is I+I+III=IIIII

  • @AKAcolide

no, I'm sorry,.. the question is not how to get it to add up,... it's to get it to add up to 4,... (not 5, or any other total)

  • l+ll+lll=6

  • @KurdishSaladin

no, I'm sorry,.. the question is not how to get it to add up,... it's to get it to add up to 4,... (not 5, or any other total)

  • I have one. Move 2 matches, but still keeping all 16 of them in the math problem and the correct answer still has to be 4. The matches still have to represent the numbers the way they do in this video, in other words, no making digit numbers or Roman numerals, or breaking the matches in a number of pieces. All 16 matches have to remain intact and straight. Remember, the correct answer still has to be IIII (4).

  • make a Roman number like l+ll+lv = vll

    mean 1+2+4 = 7

  • 1+2+3= 6 U F'n Ediot!!!

  • so wrong....... the true answer is 123

  • hahaha nice one

  • That is pretty bad but really good at the same time.

  • Video and trick are ok.. Don't know why everyone is hateing?
