From Wikipedia.org: "On June 19, 2007, Benoit wrestled his last match, defeating Elijah Burke in a match to determine who would face CM Punk for the vacated ECW World Championship at Vengeance. Benoit missed the weekend house shows, telling WWE officials that his wife and son were vomiting blood due to food poisoning. When he failed to show up for the pay-per-view, viewers were informed that he was unable to compete due to a 'family emergency,' and he was replaced in the title match by Johnny Nitro. Nitro went on to win the match and became ECW Champion."

Crazy that this was the last time he wrestled. I was in that arena in Charlotte that night. Show ended with the Benoit-CM Punk shakedown for the match that never happened. Would of been epic. Such a legend, Such talent. As a person he deserves to be forgotten. What he did was beyond words. But as a pro wrestler he was one of that greatest that ever graced a squared circle. Truly tragic

He was a great person, whose brain got damaged and lost himself.. but you base who he was as a person on actions he commited when the ex-rays showed his brain was destroyed..

When your brain is as messed up as Benoit's was.. you are not you anymore. That's scientifically proven.

Its not 100% for sure that chris murdered his family and himself chavo got a text from chris the day after chris died so maybe he was murdered but maybe chris did send a text chavo probably just got it late.

He wasn't really a terrible human being. He loved his family. It is possible he was murdered but I don't think he was. We will never know watt happened in the house

Chris Benoit was a scumbag, and a piece of shit. I don't care what anyone says. Killing innocent people is a terrible thing to do. You were defending him saying people should forget that he killed his family because he was a great wrestler.

Come on the guy killed a defenseless child. The poor kid had a whole life ahead of him. As for your family I was just using an example. Sorry it was nothing personal calm down. I know I personally would hate anyone who killed any of my family members.
