Benoit missed the weekend house shows, telling WWE officials that his wife and son were vomiting blood due to food poisoning. When he failed to show up for the pay-per-view, viewers were informed that he was unable to compete due to a 'family emergency,' and he was replaced in the title match by Johnny Nitro. Nitro went on to win the match and became ECW Champion."

Crazy that this was the last time he wrestled. I was in that arena in Charlotte that night. Show ended with the Benoit-CM Punk shakedown for the match that never happened. Would of been epic. Such a legend, Such talent. As a person he deserves to be forgotten. What he did was beyond words. But as a pro wrestler he was one of that greatest that ever graced a squared circle. Truly tragic

You guys are all stupid Benoit was a great wrestler and should be considered for the Hall of Fame what he did was not his fault he had severe brain damage cause by years and years of abuse add multiple concussions if you don't believe me watch the CNN documentary on Benoit. It explains everything that happened it wasn't roid rage or drug abuse it tells about the last year so his life where is personnel you change where was paranoid thinking people are out to get him.

As I said before Chris Benoit was responsible for his own actions just like everyone else. No one forced him to wrestle or take drugs. If he didn't commit suicide he would have been executed or sent to prison his whole life. If his brain was really fucked up he should have gotten professional help like a great person would have done..

Thousands of athletes have suffered brain damage in sports very few of them killed anyone.

He was a great person.. you just base 40 years of being a great person with a sane brain on 3 days of being an evil person with an insane brain.

The WWE didn't know the whole story about what happened at the time. Once they found out what Benoit really did the WWE never mentioned his name again.

A great person wouldn't kill people he loved. His brain wasn't that bad or he wouldn't have been able to function in society, wrestle, or socialize with people. He knew what he was doing. He was an adult responsible for his own actions.

You're only defending him because you watched him on tv. A murderer doesn't derserve to be forgiven.

Also, if Chris was a scumbag how come they made a RAW tribute about him where his peers talk wonders about him?

He was a great person, whose brain got damaged and lost himself.. but you base who he was as a person on actions he commited when the ex-rays showed his brain was destroyed..

When your brain is as messed up as Benoit's was.. you are not you anymore. That's scientifically proven.
