BlizzCon 2010 - World of Warcraft Cataclysm - Rejected Portal Login Screen

In Blizzcon 2010, the Blizzard employees introduced for the first time to the audience,the concept artwork they did for the Log-In screen of the Cataclysm Expansion.

They had some interesting ideas,like the Maelstrom log-in screen,and they ended up to make the Twillight's Hammer Portal log-ing screen.

But then they decided that the theme of the screen would be too vague for the non-85L players,so they scrapped it and they eventually sticked to the Deathwing Log-in Screen which you can see it in Youtube here:

Personally,although i find the initial Portal log-in pretty cool and with a node to the classic The Burning Crusade Portal log-in screen,i have to agree with the decision of the Blizzard artists to replace it with something more familiar,since a lot of wow gamers wouldnt know what the Portal was about until they reached level 85.

@MilitarySpartan They are players in WoW that are Twilight fans and they felt neglected by all the hate, and so they made the Twilight's Hammer cult, the same cult that demanded a werewolf race in WoW because werewolves were in twilight, and so it was done. Now that they are a race they became drunk with power and now want to summon old gods on our asses.

@aleksandar2331 Hmhm... It was Sindragosa. Notice how she flew from the direction of Icecrown Citadel. Also uses the same in-game model as Sindragosa the raid boss in Icecrown Citadel.

they shouldve done something like the bastion of twilight... the entrance to that raid is GENIUS. the swirling elementium and the spikes and purple energy flaring all over the place.... amazing. and this purple portal in itself isnt that bad, and its a LOT better than stupid deathwing perched on stormwind..... blizz... Y U NO BE EPIC?!

this just gets worse and worse in mists of teddy bear i think they would come up whit 2 dragons

so they follow wrat and cata and not the classic yes and they are adding teddy bears in the game aswell this game is SOON coming to an end just whait and see
