The world knows torture is a war crime. John Yoo was a key legal architect of the American torture program built under Bush-Cheney and continuing now under Obama.
Think Abu Ghraib and Bagram. Ask: why is Guantanamo still open? With Yoo still on the Boalt faculty, UC has a war criminal teaching law to the next generation of lawyers and judges.
For a fourth year, World Can't Wait called a protest, joined by Code Pink, Vets for Peace, Progressive Democrats of America and others. Orange ribbons signifying "NO TORTURE" and "FIRE, DISBAR AND PROSECUTE JOHN YOO" were worn by over 500 graduates and their guests during the commencement and reception. Although Boalt's dean, Christopher Edley, still refused to don the orange ribbon, much of the Boalt community does not accept the harboring of a war criminal on the UC faculty. Activists found a much more welcoming, and vocal, response to the orange ribbons and flyers than ever before.
this just goes to show what cowards you americunts truly are.
