Now, behold... The International Year of Frittelle 2011!

The International Year of Frittelle 2011 (IYF2011) is a global celebration of frittelle and their contribution to tasty treats. It marks the first anniversary of the LiveBlogger eating one and saying "yum". The aim of the Year is to stimulate worldwide interest in frittelle, especially among young people, under the central theme "They Taste Quite Nice". IYF2011 events and activities will promote a greater appreciation of the inspirational aspects of frittelle that embody an invaluable shared resource for all nations.

IYF2011 activities are taking place at global and regional levels, and especially at national and local levels. National Nodes in each country will be running activities throughout the Year, aimed at establishing collaborations between professional and amateur chefs, cafes, restaurants, and fat people.
