@hagunadari I'm not sure of your reality but in the world where i live, ppl that are filled with those good intentions are pushed down. For several years it works like this...

The "change ourselves" that you refer, is for me being a normal person. I do smile to ppl, i do respect others, i do help others and so on... none of that will change the world. The only thing it will happen is me feeling good about myself...if that means it will change something on some1 else,then i say great

@luismend Part2. There is something enormously wondeful in the act of seeing someone stand up for themselves, regaining self-respect. Giving away money accomplishes little. Giving someone food for thoughts, courage to live... that changes everything. If you can convince 1 person to actually _think_, it is one person that you changed the world for.

Think about it.

@luismend But you do have it! That's the point. All big changes in the world didn't start from the top, they have risen from the bottom. So long as people will convince themselves that they are powerless, they won't be able to change anything.

I am not saying you or me have the "power" to change the world. But we do have the power to change ourselves. Give a smile to a person we talk to. Say a compliment. Respect others.

Good intentions... they are dangerous, but needed.

@hagunadari If i had the power/money/time to help others i would. Ofc all that theory is cute but it doesn't matter for nowadays when economy is what rules the world.

Ppl that have the so called "power" can make a change in this world... there are a few of them trying... but not enough.

Take the example of Bill Gates... one of the most rich ppl in the world... he is also the one who gives more to charity! My gramma always said... The road to hell is paved with good intentions

@luismend How about doing something yourself? Things look like they do today because of relying on others to do something. Stop counting on others - THIS is the meaning of this sone (and many many others).

People agree with the message, but still sit in front of the computer and do nothing. So nothing changes.

Even talking to 5 people is something. It's a first step. If everyone would take one step, we would be in a completely different place now.
