Hot Number

Foxy's performin their second hit "Hot Number" . This was before Prince came out with "Dirty Mind". I think my outfit is pretty funny. A lot of gay guys have asked me if I have this clip so here it is. I hope it makes you laugh as much as it does me. Written by Ish Ledesma and Carl Driggs. Ish.

I've never heard him say so but you know, we all influence each other. Lisa got in The Revolution because she came to jam with my second group "Oxo" and met Prince while we were recording the only album we made at The Record Plant and across the way, Prince was recording 1999 so there's some influence there for sure. Haha!

Actually, it wasn't these two. The girl voices you hear on Hot Number are the same voices you hear on all the Muscle Shoals sessions like things by Al Greene, etc. They were white. In fact, It's two girls and a guy. I don't have the album with me so I can't recall their names at the moment, but yes, they could sing.

You are sooo right! I grew up in the 70's and into the 80's and music was just great during those periods. Dance music today doesn't pale to comparison. I'm 35 yrs. old and prefer the older classics over some of the stuff that's being cranked out.

I remember my mom playing this song a lot when I was a little kid when she would exercise. I found it a few years ago and sent it to her, it's become one of my all-time favorite songs :)
